Elena Cappelletti completed her Master degree at the Royal Academy of Music in London 2013, where she studied with Felix Schmidt and regularly took part in Masterclass with cellists Robert Cohen, Colin Carr, Steve Doane and Sung-Won Yang.
She previously graduated in Italy from the Conservatory “Giuseppe Verdi” in Milano with professor Marco Scano, formerly principal cellist at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
She was awarded first prize in the Rotary Club competition for the best young graduated in a string instrument in 2010 and also obtained a second prize in the International Competition “Città di Arezzo” in April 2009 and in the National Competition of music performance in Viterbo.
She was able to attend several masterclass with worldwide known cellists like Thomas Demenga in Switzerland, Natalia Gutman in Italy and Maria Kliegel in Germany.
Elena was awarded a seat and collaborated with the Orchestra Sinfonica Giuseppe Verdi in Milano in 2011, with the Orchestra del Teatro San Carlo in Naples in 2014 and with the Orchestra Fondazione Petruzzelli in Bari in 2014.
In London she was part several times of the Royal Academy Symphony and Concert orchestra joining productions with conductors like Pablo Heras Casado, Maxime Tortellier and Semyon Bychkov . She was also considered eligible to play with the Gustav Mahler Jugendorkester in 2012 and 2013 and with the Foyle Future First London Philarmoinic Academy orchestra in 2013.
She is the cellist of the Alauda Quartet, with whom she completed a chamber music Master at the Hochschule fur Musik, Theater und Medien of Hannover in 2014. The Alauda quartet was appointed Junior Chamber Music Fellow at the Royal Academy for the 2013-2014 academic year and Park Lane Group Artist for the 2015.
As well as their concerts in UK, with the Alauda Quartet she enjoyed performing in various music festivals across Europe, holding tours in Spain and Italy in 2012, in Germany in 2013 and in China in 2014.
She played as a soloist with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Cali, Colombia for the festival “Cali da Camara” in 2012 and with the Latina Philarmonia Orchestra in 2013.
